The Central Bank heads the UAE delegation to the second financial cooperation seminar between the UAE and Japan

The second financial cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Japan began yesterday in Tokyo.
The UAE delegation was led by Mubarak Rashid Al Mansouri, Governor of the Central Bank, which includes the leading financial institutions in the UAE.
The seminar will focus on the economic developments in the UAE and Japan, the promotion of infrastructure investment, “financing projects”, ways to encourage SME financing, innovations in financial technology, focus on financial technology and artificial intelligence, measures to respond to international financial regulations and promote financial reforms.
“The close economic relations between the UAE and Japan date back nearly 50 years,” said Mubarak Rashid Al Mansouri. “This visit is part of the ongoing dialogue between our two countries aimed at developing the UAE’s knowledge-based economy in the post-oil era.”
“SMEs have been identified as drivers of growth and innovation in the UAE and we will benefit from the Japanese experience in developing systems that encourage SME lending and financing … We look forward to strengthening the effective regulation of the UAE’s financial technology products and networking with the Technology Center Bank of Japan to recognize its contribution to the promotion of this sector. ”
The second seminar of the UAE and Japan for financial cooperation in Tokyo will be attended by key representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Central Bank of the UAE, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Dubai International Financial Center, Abu Dhabi International Market, Mashreqbank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Dubai Department of Finance.
