Amid a large ceremony, with the participation of about 110 world leaders, heads of government, and a number of international figures, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated, on Monday, the activities of the presidential part of the twenty-seventh session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate (COP27), in Sharm El-Sheikh. The Egyptian president pointed out that “it is not impossible to achieve the goal of assuming responsibility in dealing with the most serious and severe issues of the century unless there is a real will and sincere intention to promote joint climate action, and translate the results into tangible reality.”
