The customs union workshop calls for the unification of one customs point between GCC countries

The workshop entitled “Efforts to Complete Customs Union Requirements between the GCC Countries”, held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the slogan “March, Challenges, Suggested Solutions”, called for a periodic evaluation of qualified customs ports as the first typical ports in the customs union to identify their basic environment And to determine the suitability of the workload, and focus on the development and rehabilitation of the rest of the first border ports and the provision of all customs services facilities.
The workshop referred to the GCC countries and their efforts to implement the customs union, such as allowing goods produced in the GCC countries to move freely among member countries and exempt industrial establishments from customs duties on imports of machinery, equipment, spare parts and raw materials.
The participants also recommended the provision of a transport network to the Gulf, which reduces transport costs and supports the stability of the market, as it provides an effective network of transport between the GCC countries, and the adoption of the policy of preferential government procurement of Gulf products, while working to find controls and incentives to improve the quality and quality, Gulf Database.
