DFM closes in Green Zone on Monday

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Monday’s trading session in the green territory, backed by the rising blue-chip stocks topped by Emaar Properties.

The DFM’s general index jumped by 35.61 points, or 1.30%, to 2,774.87 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 146.180 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 199.697 million through 2,553 transactions.

Market capitalisation gained AED 3.95 million and finished the session at AED 363.063 billion.

The real estate sector led the rising sectors with an increase of 2.29% on the back of Emaar Properties that jumped 2.48%.

The consumer goods, the banks, and the investment and financial services sectors added 2.03%, 0.86%, and 0.74%, respectively.

Emaar Properties was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 63.867 million.
