Dhs 2.2 Billion Investments in the “Rodbott Tires” Factory in “Khalifa Industrial”

The first of its kind in the UAE with a total investment of AED2.2 billion, has been laid at the forefront of the growth of the manufacturing sector in this integrated city.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Ports, Zhang Yingzi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and a number of officials from the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.
The Chinese manufacturer of tires is planning to build and develop the plant in China-UAE Industrial Cooperation and Construction Management at Khalifa Industrial City. The new plant adopts international standards and the latest innovative solutions in the tire industry and is due to come into operation in October 2020.
D will meet the highest international standards adopted in the design and manufacture of tires as well as the adoption of intelligent technologies, fully automated and environmentally friendly. The master plan of the project includes high waterfalls and ecological gardens at the entrance, providing a stimulating working environment for employees.
In addition, the project adopts the latest technologies to enhance production capacity, including automated logistics, intelligent equipment, real-time data collection techniques and intelligent data analysis techniques.
The new plant will play an important role in the diversification and economic sustainability plans of the UAE, which will contribute to the provision of about 1200 new jobs, in addition to supporting and developing the system of sustainability and innovation in the automotive sector in the country.
The Cusco Abu Dhabi container terminal at Khalifa Port was officially inaugurated on December 10, 2018, in a move that highlights the development of long-term economic relations between the UAE and China. The terminal is a hub for the 36-station Cusco network, as well as linking Abu Dhabi with many major cities and commercial areas in the Belt and Road.
