Dnata and Lufthansa Group continue to build partnership in US

The Dubai-based aviation service provider will provide ramp, secure clean and passenger handling services to Lufthansa at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and now serves the airline group, including Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines and Edelweiss Air, at eight airports in the country

Expanding their ongoing collaboration within the US aviation market, dnata has been tasked by Lufthansa Group to provide ramp, secure clean and passenger handling services to the airline at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Additionally, dnata will offer its services to other members under the Lufthansa Group: Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines and Edelweiss Air.

In Austin Texas, the aviation services provider will oversee Lufthansa’s new Frankfurt flight, which will be served by the airline five times a week on an A330-300 aircraft.

Active in the US market since 2016, dnata has invested more than $45m in facilities, equipment, training and technology. Securing 26 new contracts within the last 12 months, the company’s US portfolio today consists of 60 airlines served at 28 airports.

The director Commercial Airport Infrastructure, Lufthansa Group  said that as a premium airline, Lufthansa Airlines is excited to grow the North American relationship with the start of service in Austin with dnata.

He said that with the positive service experience from destinations like Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and New York (JFK) they are looking forward to providing first class service to their customers with their handling partner at Austin Airport.
