Dubai Chamber holds a seminar on Value Added Tax

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) organized a workshop titled “Value Added Tax” at its headquarters in cooperation with the law firm of PSA Ahmed Bin Hazeem and Associates and the auditing office of Moore Stevens.

The workshop aimed at introducing participants to the value added tax law, highlighting its provisions, provisions, requirements and implementation mechanisms in the country. The law was one of the most important additions to the business environment during the current year. The workshop was attended by Dubai Chamber members, lawyers, legal advisors, tax experts and VAT experts.

Jihad Kazem, Director of Legal Services at DCCI, said that the workshop discussed a vital topic in the business environment that concerns all components of the business community. The Chamber aims to enhance the awareness of its members about the law and its various applications and how it affects the business environment.
Kazem added that VAT is part of the country’s strategic vision to promote and sustain economic growth by diversifying sources of income, improving public services and developing infrastructure to enhance ease of doing business.
The Dubai Chamber supports business growth in the emirate and is constantly working to create a stimulating environment through the organization of seminars and workshops that enhance the awareness and culture of the business community on the latest developments related to local and international business
