Dubai Customs discusses more cooperation with vegetable and fruit sector

The Director of Dubai Customs Chaired  a meeting of the consultative council and officials discussed how to enhance cooperation with the vegetable and fruit sector.

The meeting was attended by  CEO of Dubai Export Development Corporation, and representatives of DP World, Dubai Chamber, Dubai Trade, and the Department of Economic Development.

The  focused was on how the sector can benefit from the facilities offered by Dubai Customs and how to overcome challenges.

The Chairman said during the meeting “It is important we keep up the good work and maintain our achievement of topping the 2018 happiness index at 97.49 percent through more coordination with business groups, members of the Dubai Customs Consultative Council. We do our best to help our clients and partners overcome any challenges they may face in their business and to ensure they have access to our ultra-modern facilities and services in support of Dubai as a world economic hub.”

“To ensure a streamlined flow of goods through Dubai into local, regional and global markets, we coordinate with our strategic partners in the local and federal government. We are helping to build momentum towards the establishment of the Dubai Silk Road, the first element in the 50-Year Charter, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,” he added.
