Dubai Customs presents its experience and initiatives to the UAE Government Leaders program

Dubai Customs has reviewed its pioneering experience in the customs sector and its innovative initiatives for graduates and employees of the UAE Government Leadership Program as part of the “Emirates Practices” initiative launched by the program aimed at enhancing the continuous learning tools that it provides to its employees and graduates. .
Mr. Ahmed Mahbub Musabah, Director of Dubai Customs, praised the UAE Government’s efforts in building capacity and enhancing national leadership in various fields of work and building and empowering the UAE’s capacities in various sectors to support the development process.
He explained that Dubai Customs and Dubai Government Plan 2021 are working to improve the economy and establish the principle of Dubai as the capital of the economy by facilitating legitimate trade. Dubai’s foreign trade registered AED 965.3 billion in the first nine months of 2018.
In light of its mission to protect the community, Dubai Customs will provide all its customs centers with the latest advanced equipment and pay attention to honing the skills of customs officers through continuous training workshops and specialized courses. Dubai Customs has played a major role in supporting the hosting of the International Expo and as a culmination of its significant efforts, the Department has won the award of the government agency supporting the Expo 2020 at the 21st edition of the Dubai Government Excellence Program Awards 2018. The Department also recently received the highest percentage among all departments of the Government of Dubai, 97.49 percent, according to a report released by Dubai Smart.
Dubai Customs reviewed its role in international trade by describing Dubai as a global hub in trade, customs procedures, customer experience, smart services, artificial intelligence, customer service, and advanced inspection. The department also presented its innovation strategy and its role in enhancing customs services to traders and traders.
