Dubai and Dubai Economic Co cooperate to control and inspect real estate facilities in the emirate

Dubai Land Department, represented by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), the regulatory arm of the Land and Property Department, and the Dubai Economic Development Department (DED) signed a memorandum of cooperation on the establishment of a mechanism for monitoring and inspecting licensed real estate installations.
Under the agreement, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Consumer Protection will monitor and inspect the real estate establishments licensed by the RERA to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalaita, CEO of RERA, said: “The signing of the memorandum authorizing the commercial control and consumer protection sector in the Dubai economy to carry out the field inspection of real estate companies stems from our keenness to ensure compliance with the laws and legislations for the practice of real estate activities. To contribute to the realization of the vision of Dubai’s land, and to establish transparency and accountability to safeguard the rights of all parties in a safe environment operating under systems and legislation respected by all. ”
