Dubai Economic City adds 26 business activities to the list of licensed business activities

The Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector of the Department of Economic Development (DED) added 26 new business activities to a number of vital sectors during the first half of 2018 following the sector’s periodic review of the needs of the local market and the principle of supply and demand. These efforts are part of Dubai’s economic endeavors to facilitate business practices for business licensees and to provide their business activities and market needs, thus contributing to their development and competition in the local market of the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai in particular. The new activities range from a number of vital and specialized sectors in the Emirate of Dubai, namely the rental of alarm and surveillance equipment, the Fat Loss Cleaning and Evaluation Service, the collection of waste, trademark support services, endowment management and management services, community response centers, emergency response services, media monitoring services, satellite industry and balloon trading. Waleed Abdulmalik, Director of Commercial Registration Department in the Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector, said that the sector’s team is keen to study the current situation of the market and to explore the views and suggestions of the commercial licensees as well as those wishing to start business in Dubai to meet their needs and meet the requirements of the local market, . He added that this step is a continuation of the process undertaken by Dubai Economy to facilitate licensing procedures for limited liability companies and the development of services in general, which has a positive impact in promoting the growth of the private sector and ensuring the ability of license holders to reap the benefits by overcoming obstacles to new entrepreneurs who They have new ideas to start any business they want to invest in and grow in and thus create more jobs.
