Dubai Economic City has completed more than 26,000 commercial registration and licensing transactions in May

The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) has achieved outstanding results in the total transactions completed during last May, according to the Business Traffic Report issued by the Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector, which indicated that the sector completed more than 26,184 transactions and issued 1,689 new business licenses during that period.
These figures from the Business Map platform reflect the emirate’s position as a financial and business hub in the region and globally.
The results of May 2018 for the “Business Map” showed that the renewal transactions constituted about 12,618 transactions. The number of transactions for registering the trade name in the registration and commercial licensing sector was 2,954 and the number of initial approvals reached 2,083.
In terms of commercial permit procedures, there were 3,013 procedures and in automatic renewal, 5,122 transactions were formed, then instant licenses were 97, and electronic merchants transactions were 119.
The outsourcing centers completed at least 18,446 transactions during that period, which accounted for 77.6% of total transactions completed in May 2018. This shows the volume of business and the vital role of outsourcing centers in providing competitive services to the public from Dubai’s economic customers.
