Dubai Economic Development Company is developing 14 new businesses in the field of boosting local food production

The Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector of the Department of Economic Development (DED) has introduced 14 new business activities in the field of agricultural and local aquaculture development, in addition to a number of vital sectors, bringing the total number of commercial activities to more than 2,200.
The move comes within the framework of the Dubai Economic Strategy to facilitate the business of commercial licensees and to provide their activities and market needs, which contributes to their development projects and compete in the local market of the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai in particular.
The list of new activities includes advanced agriculture for vegetables, melons, roots, tubers, advanced crops for other non-permanent crops, advanced citrus farming, advanced palm and fruit farming, advanced crop farming, advanced crop cultivation, advanced agriculture for cereals, leguminous crops, oilseeds and post-harvest services for agricultural production, Aquaculture from local production, marine aquaculture, on-land aquaculture, post-harvest aquaculture services and aquaculture Water parks ..
The new business activities will contribute to providing promising investment opportunities that contribute to the achievement of food security objectives and enhance the role of innovation in raising agricultural activities to new levels of leadership and excellence.
