Dubai Financial Market closesTuesday in green zone

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note. The DFM’s general index edged up 6.77 points, or 0.25%, to 2,722.47 points.

Trading volume amounted to 186.130 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 222.771 million through 3,057 transactions.  Market capitalisation gained AED 1.05 million and closed the session at AED 356.72 billion.

The consumer goods sector led gainers with 2.48%, followed by the services, the banks, and the real estate sectors that added 1.06%, 0.29%, and 0.17%, respectively.

At the level of stocks, Amlak Finance topped winners with an increase of 5.23% to AED 0.342, while Al Madina for Finance headed losers with a slump of 3.52% to AED 0.219.

Emaar Properties was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 33.874 million.
