Dubai, February 13-14, will host business leaders and entrepreneurs at a new summit to discuss the future of retail, with more than 600 retail executives from around the world and more than 80 industry experts attending.
With 62 per cent of the world’s retail outlets in Dubai, the emirate has outperformed London in the latest version of the 2018 version of the CBRA Real Estate Advisory Company’s “How Global Retailing” report.
“Shoppers are looking for personalized services and more personalized experiences, which drives the retail sector to adopt a traditional e-shopping model to keep up with the demands of the times,” said Fahd Abdulkarim Kazim, vice president of Meezan Malls and a senior speaker at the retail summit.
“Enhanced reality technology is one of the most widely anticipated technologies in the retail sector, allowing consumers to experience a product or service before buying it,” he said, noting that the demand for space within shopping malls will continue to grow as shopping is one of the many experiences that consumers are looking for during their visits.
The retail summit, held at the Atlantis Palm Hotel in Dubai, is being held in cooperation with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and Maidan Woon and brings together a new generation of retailers who have been able to combine outstanding service with modern technology.
