The agreement was signed in Dubai last week by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of Dubai Ports World and Dr. Saad Al-Sheiri, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland, in the presence of officials from both sides.

Under the terms of the agreement, the free zone project will be built on existing facilities at Dubai Ports World – Berbera, covering an area of 12 square kilometers while the first phase is expected to be implemented during the current year.
