The Ministry of Economy highlighted the most important investment opportunities available in the UAE as part of its efforts to introduce local and foreign investors to the economic and commercial activities they can invest in.
The list, which was prepared in coordination between the Ministry of Economy and Economic Departments of the UAE, included 161 investment opportunities in 32 sectors of the important sectors, which constitute major tributaries of the national economy and support the country’s policy of diversification.
The announcement of the list of investment opportunities follows the issuance of the Foreign Investment Law, which is described as a qualitative leap in terms of enhancing the business environment and attractiveness and competitiveness of the UAE to attract more foreign investment.
According to the provisions of the new law, the ceiling of ownership has been raised before international investments and the treatment of licensed foreign investment companies to treat the national companies within the limits allowed by the legislation in force in the country and the international conventions to which the state is a party.
Investment experts described the move as a qualitative addition to the ownership systems of companies and investments in the UAE, which will enhance the efficiency of the state in meeting the requirements of sustainable development and attract advanced technology and serve the final outcome of the comprehensive development process.
