Egypt achieves self-sufficiency of gas

 Egypt announced today the suspension of the import of liquefied natural gas from abroad after the total production reached 6 billion cubic feet of gas per day. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Tariq Al-Mulla, said in a statement that his country has achieved self-sufficiency of gas as a result of increasing the production of the field has increased steadily since January until now by about six times, increasing from 350 million cubic feet of gas per day to 2 billion cubic feet per day As well as the entry of other fields of production line to total gas production of Egypt to 6 billion cubic feet of gas per day. He explained that Egypt received the last shipment imported from the gas last week.
