Egyptian-British agreement to produce gas and oil from deep water

 Egypt’s ENPI signed a cooperation agreement with British company Wood, one of the world’s leading engineering companies for oil and gas fields under the sea and producing deep water. The agreement was signed by Eng. Alaa Hijazi, President of ENPI and Colin McKinnon, President of the British Wood Company, in the presence of Eng. Tariq Al Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, and British Ambassador to Egypt Jeffrey Adams. Al-Mulla said after the signing that the agreement supports the establishment of a technical and engineering partnership between the two sides to transfer technology, know-how and expertise necessary to carry out the engineering work for research and exploration of natural gas and its production under the sea, especially that Egypt is proceeding with the implementation of major projects for the development and production of natural gas from deep water in the sea Which require advanced engineering expertise and solutions to accomplish these projects
