The Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that Egyptian exports reached 470.4 billion pounds in 2017 compared to 263.5 in 2016 to international gatherings including the Arab Free Trade Area, the Group of Eight Islamic Developing Countries, the ESCWA Group, the Sahel and Sahara Group, COMESA and the Group of Fifteen.
Egypt’s exports to the Arab Free Trade Zone ranked first, reaching 172.2 billion pounds in 2017 compared to 101 billion pounds in 2016, an increase of 70.5 percent, followed by the ASCO, with total exports reaching 143.2 billion pounds in 2017 against 82.5 billion pounds. EGP 2016 increase by 73.7%.
