Electronic attacks have declined by 43.2% since the beginning of 2019

The number of attacks targeting websites in the UAE decreased by 43.2% in the first four months of 2019 compared to the same period in 2018.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) revealed that the number of cyber attacks thwarted reached 88 during the first quarter of 2019, compared to 155 attacks during the same period of 2018.
The Commission ranked 53 cyber attacks with severe or severe effects, 21 low-impact attacks and the rest recorded as medium-intensity attacks.
The agency confirmed that the most dangerous malicious programs that were dealt with during the month of April included an advanced notice of a gap in the Internet browser system, as well as advanced notification of electronic attacks aimed at obtaining access data to enterprises.
The number of attacks in April 2019 alone reached 34, compared to 35 in the same month of 2018.
On the other hand, the statistics of gap detection and penetration testing showed that it reached 28 since the beginning of 2019, including 19 gap tests and 9 penetration tests.
The TRA advised all users not to share their bank data with anyone on the mobile phone and verify the list of privileges granted when installing any new system on their devices. patrol
