Emirates Steel Manufacturing Company (UAE Steel), a subsidiary of General Industries Holding Company, won the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award – Diamond category held in Abu Dhabi, confirming the company’s leadership in the UAE industrial sector.
HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, handed over the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award – Diamond Class to Eng. Saeed Bin Ghamran Al Rumaithi, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Steel Company at a ceremony held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Sheikh Zayed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Saeed Al Rumaithi, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Steel Company, said: “We are proud to have won this prestigious award, which is a recognition of our achievements that contribute to the development of the company in particular and the national industrial sector.” He added: “The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is an effective criterion for excellence and quality. The company’s successes have placed it in a niche in the industrial sector. ”
Al Rumaithi pointed out that Emirates Iron Company plays a leading role in the iron and steel industry and in promoting the interests of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in this strategic region, which is witnessing a remarkable economic upturn.
“Winning the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is an achievement for the company and comes as a response to the leadership to support and spread a culture of excellence and institutional competitiveness, and drive us to achieve more successes and achievements,” said Al Rumaithi.
Al-Rumaithi added that in 2012 we won the silver award and decided to work with all our energy to develop our performance and address the comments received from the management of the award and worked hard until we won in 2014 the golden award and then continued to work hard and diligent until we reached what we have today.
He pointed out that the company has worked to introduce improvement and development in its performance in the field of leadership, strategy, innovation, social responsibility and other sectors that qualified the company to win the award.
