Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) announced its participation and sponsorship of the second preparatory conference for the establishment of the World Organization for Green Economy (WGEO) scheduled to open tomorrow at Al-Midan Hotel in Dubai in the presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Air Authority. Empower sponsorship for the second preparatory conference for the establishment of the World Organization for Green Economy is granted full membership for a year in FAO.
Organizers of the Second Preparatory Conference for the Establishment of the World Organization for Green Economy (WGEO) are aiming at reaching a consensus formulation of the WGEO Agreement by finalizing and signing the Agreement.
The conference presents an overview of WGEO’s core functions and unique features as a multi-sector partnerships institution that gives decision-making to non-government sectors.
The conference also seeks to facilitate progress towards a practical framework that allows WGEO to actively engage with the private sector to achieve its objectives and to facilitate dialogue and knowledge exchange between business and government; to leverage strengths in different sectors and disciplines to achieve the benefits of transition to a green economy.
Through the Conference, organizers also seek to promote the adoption of a green economy culture in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication in line with the United Nations sustainable development goals 2030.
