Media In Dubai – 23 September 2018

ENOC has opened five new service stations in Dubai, expanding its network of plants in the UAE to 122, while the Group continues to expand its retail fuel sales by 40 per cent by 2020. The newly constructed stations are located in Hatta, Oud Al Mutaina, City of Arabia residential complex and two stations on the Dubai-Al Ain road, and ENOC is opening these stations to meet the needs of new and remote communities. “The opening of the new service stations is a commitment to expand our network of service stations by 40 per cent by 2020, as we have opened eight new plants this year and are moving forward with a positive and effective impact,” said Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC. Will help meet the needs of the 25 million visitors expected to arrive at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The five stations are solar powered and constructed in accordance with the specifications and standards of green buildings specified by Dubai Municipality. The excess energy is transferred from solar panels to the main DEWA network through a solar energy meter that tracks the amount of energy recharged to Power grid. ENOC estimates that the new plants will generate up to 23 gigawatts of solar power, reducing the burden on the DEWA network and other power plants
