“Federal Taxation” warns companies seeking information registered taxpayers

The Federal Tax Authority, the registrar, has called on its registrars to exercise caution, to investigate the accuracy and to maintain the confidentiality of their personal information, stressing that in the event that any party requests financial or accounting data or information, the registrants must disclose any data confirming the existence of official authorization From the Federal Tax Authority to this body collects information from taxpayers.
The Authority confirmed in a press release that “MediaN” received a copy of it, that it did not authorize any entity to request financial or personal or institutional financial statements relating to taxes or any other matters relating to the taxpayer, pointing out that it was noted recently that some companies communicate with Taxpayers asked for their registration information.
The Authority reiterated that all registration services, tax returns and other electronic or taxable services for registrants and taxpayers are provided free of charge without fees, noting that the registration for tax and the submission of declarations is done in simplified steps in a few minutes through the electronic services portal available around the clock via the website of the Authority : www.tax.gov.ae, which is designed in accordance with international best practices to facilitate the process of tax liabilities for taxpayers with the easiest and fastest means of technology, in addition to providing adequate information and guidance to enhance tax awareness.
