The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Committee of the French Labor Council, organized a special meeting at the Abu Dhabi Chamber to gather women and business leaders from both the UAE and France to discuss ways of understanding financial matters.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Estelle Bagnon Pooy, the Ambassador of France to the UAE, Dr. Fatima Al Shamsi, Deputy Executive Director of Administration at the Sorbonne-Abu Dhabi University.
The meeting discussed the concepts of economic finance in general and how it supports women’s business programs and projects in order to enhance the role of women and enable them to think about establishing commercial and investment projects.
The Women’s Empowerment Committee of the French Business Group aims to provide a platform for Emirati and French women to communicate, learn and inspire each other and to promote the effective and influential role of women as business leaders, successful business leaders and partners in supporting inclusive economic development.
It also aims to develop the leadership capabilities of French and Emirati women, and to support and encourage entrepreneurial opportunities for creative businesswomen through networking, training opportunities, exchange of information, experience and expertise, as well as the contribution of the Women’s Empowerment Committee of the French Labor Council to the establishment of a network of strong and influential women leaders New business trends and opening doors for the development of new and innovative business.
The attendees emphasized that women are an essential part of the development plans of all developed societies.
They also expressed their appreciation for the benefit of this meeting on the plans and concepts to be followed in the field of finance and banking.
The attendees commended the French Labor Council Committee for the high rank accorded to Emirati women and women working in the UAE, stressing the ability of UAE women to achieve more achievements in the business community.
