German exports rebound and trade surplus surges

Media IN \ Berlin 10-05-2019 / WAM
German exports unexpectedly rose in March, suggesting that the slowdown in Europe’s biggest economy will not have a major negative impact on growth in the first quarter, despite adverse factors stemming from unresolved trade disputes, data showed on Friday.

The Fed said seasonally adjusted exports rose 1.5 percent in March from the previous month while imports rose 0.4 percent. That means the trade surplus rose to 20 billion euros (22.45 billion dollars) from 18.7 billion euros a month earlier.
