Green positions” to charge electric cars

The Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the General Command of Fujairah Police, inaugurated the first electric car charging station in the Emirate under the slogan “Green Attitudes” in front of the Chamber Building. The initiative works to motivate visitors and residents of the emirate to use sustainable transportation vehicles. In reducing carbon emissions in the land transport sector and promoting environmental practices, sustainable development and conservation of natural resources.

“Green Stances” initiative is part of the incentives of the Government of Fujairah to use electric vehicles in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah and to achieve the objectives of the National Agenda for Vision 2021 in creating a sustainable environment and reliance on clean energy.
“Sustainability is one of the most important pillars of our economic business and we are constantly striving to reduce our carbon footprint and help others do the same,” said Al Jassem. “We are delighted to be the first to provide these stations free of charge in the emirate of Fujairah to promote a healthy lifestyle. On the environment by relying on sophisticated transportation solutions.
He pointed out that Fujairah Chamber, in cooperation with the Fujairah Police, set up the infrastructure of the “Green Stances” initiative in the Emirate, and has attracted cargo stations for electric cars for parking in cooperation with Tesla for electric cars as well as chargers for other companies specialized in the same field, in line with the efforts of the Chamber to promote Environmentally friendly practices.
