The growth of hotel revenues in Abu Dhabi was 5.5% in 8 months

The value of hotel accommodation in Abu Dhabi rose by 5.5% during the first eight months of 2018 compared to the same period of 2017, according to the latest figures released today by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center.
On a monthly basis, revenues increased by 5.4% during the month of August this year compared to July of the same year, which reflects the activity witnessed by the sector since the beginning of the year.
The rise in revenues coincided with the rise in hotel accommodation prices by 4.1% year-on-year, while the monthly growth rate was 1.6%, according to the Statistics Center.
The hotel price index rose by 6.1% during the first eight months of this year compared to the same period of 2017, while the rate of increase was 1.5% at the monthly level.
The hotel price index rose by 1.6% annually and 1.6% also on a monthly basis.
Earlier statistics from the Statistics Center indicated that the number of rooms in the sector reached 32665 rooms by the end of the first half of this year.
