Gulf Air reports net profit of AED 48 million

 In the first half of the year, Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (GULFAR) reported sales of AED 558 million and net profit of AED 48 million, following the adoption of the new IFRSs IFRS 9 and IFRS 15. Jerome Karl, General Manager of Gulfar, said that the first half of 2018 was a busy and fruitful period as the company’s revenues in the Levant region accelerated in the second quarter. The companies of Gulfar, primarily companies in the GCC and Egypt, Strong at the local level. He added that many new products have recently been launched in key therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular and all expansion plans are on track, particularly in Saudi Arabia and Africa, where the company has been successful in a number of key markets. JULFAR has been announced as the number one brand among pharmaceutical manufacturers in the UAE, reflecting strong growth and double sales compared to 2017. This year, the company plans to launch 25 new products in the UAE and register 200 new products in the region.
