Hotel accommodation revenues in Abu Dhabi rose by 16.5% in December 2018 compared to the same month of 2017.

The rise in revenues came despite a drop in the housing price index by 2.9% during the month of December last year, according to figures released today by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center.
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi is one of the most attractive destinations in the Middle East due to its development in the tourism sector.

Hotel facilities are the backbone of the emirate’s tourism sector. The prices of the services offered by these establishments are among the most important factors attracting tourists.

The Abu Dhabi Statistics Center confirmed that the establishment of a statistical price index for the prices of accommodation in the hotel establishments was aimed at monitoring the movement of service in the emirate, in order to know the price changes in housing prices in the sector.

According to the approved classifications within the Department of Culture and Tourism within the Emirate, hotels are classified according to a graduated staircase that starts with one star and up to 5 stars, while the apartments are classified according to three levels which are luxurious, excellent and regular.
