Media In / Amman 31 May 2019

Under the guidance of the Council of Ministers, the Fuel Pricing Committee decided at its meeting held at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Friday to fix the prices of the main derivatives (gasoline of all kinds and diesel) for the period from 1-10 June next as it is in May.
Thus, the domestic prices of the main derivatives of the first third of next June will remain as they are in the price of May. The government’s directive is based on its decision not to raise commodities during the holy month of Ramadan, including oil derivatives.
The price of selling gasoline octane 90 during the first third of next June 750 fils / liter and benzene (95) 1000 fils / liter, and diesel 610 fils / liter. At the same time, the price of the LPG cylinder remains at the price of (7) dinars per cylinder, while the price of the rest of the oil derivatives is adjusted according to the pricing mechanism in force. The committee will reconvene on June 10, 2019 to reflect the international prices of the main derivatives on the period Between 11 and 30 June.
It is noteworthy that the government had instructed the pricing committee at the end of April to stabilize the prices of oil derivatives in the price of the month of May, as it is in April because of the increase in the prices of major commodities during the month of Ramadan.
