Karachi stock index closes 1.19%

The index of the Karachi Stock Exchange, the largest stock market in Pakistan today, increased by 1.19% or 406 points, and closed at 34291 points.
A total of 92188,880 shares were traded in 303 transactions. The market capitalization of 201 companies rose, 91 companies declined and 11 shares settled.
Cement, energy, electricity supply and banking shares gained positive trading on the stock exchange.
