The Sharjah Forum on Foreign Direct Investment will be launched on December 10 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, under the theme “Making the Future of the Economy”.
The forum, organized by the Sharjah Office of Foreign Direct Investment / Invest in Sharjah, with the support of the Ministry of Economy, will answer the question: Is corporate social responsibility limited to being a contribution to charitable activities, or to launching planned development initiatives that have a sustainable impact on the development dimension .
It will also demonstrate the fact that these voluntary efforts by foreign and national companies aim at protecting the interests of the companies themselves as well as protecting society as they invest in their environment, their environment, their markets and their future employees.
“The UAE, the world’s most widely recognized global tender index, has sought to radically transform corporate social responsibility by moving from simply contributing to charitable activities to launching,” said Mohammed Juma Al Mashrakh, Executive Director, Sharjah Investment Office.
