The market value of the UAE capital markets accounts for approximately 55% of the expected GDP in 2017

The total market value of the UAE capital markets reached AED 890.2 billion at the end of trading yesterday, accounting for about 55% of the UAE’s expected GDP in 2017. The market value is expected to continue to rise in 2018, New companies in both markets.
The market capitalization of the listed companies is the highest since it was established 16 years ago, according to official figures from the Abu Dhabi and Dubai financial markets.
Three of the 10 listed sectors accounted for AED 731 billion, or 83% of the total market capitalization of listed companies.
The banking sector came first in comparison with the rest of the sectors. The market capitalization of the sector amounted to AED 387.3 billion, representing 43.7% of the total market value of shares listed on the financial markets.
Telecommunications sector came second with 18.1% and AED 160.3 billion, while the market value of the energy sector reached AED 42 billion. .
