Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, has headed the UAE delegation at the 37th preparatory meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Ministries of Industry and the 45th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee held in Muscat on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The country’s participation comes as in the light of its keenness on promoting the development of the industrial sector at the level of the GCC countries.
The meeting’s participants discussed key topics on its agenda, such as the report of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority on the duties and activities of the Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting, GOIC, as well as ways of strengthening the region’s industrial sector.
They also reviewed a memo from the GCC General Secretariat on standardising the regulations of member states related to government purchases of national products.
