Abu Dhabi Ports has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dell Technologies to integrate expertise in navigation, logistics and IT to develop business-based models, solutions and services for the maritime industry.
The MoU aims to provide Abu Dhabi’s ports with consulting services and help them leverage value-added technologies such as Block chain and Artificial Intelligence to enhance their digital transformation path.
In the past few years, Abu Dhabi Ports has made significant strides in harnessing innovative digital solutions to serve the maritime and seaport trade community. In 2018, the Block Chain-based catheter initiative aims to streamline trade flows and make supply chain work more fluid.
The MoU was signed by Abdullah Humaid Al Hamli, Executive Vice President – Corporate Support at Abu Dhabi Ports and Mohammed Amin, Senior Vice President, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Del Technologies.
The event was held on the sidelines of the Dell Technologies World 2019 event in Las Vegas, Del’s flagship annual event, bringing together decision makers, customers, partners and analysts to explore ways to gain new business capabilities, develop processes and accelerate innovation. And create more value that will find innovative ways to promote business in various sectors.
