Non-oil trade in Abu Dhabi hit AED 71.4bn in Four Months

The non-oil trade through the emirate of Abu Dhabi edged up by 0.5% year-on-year during the first four months of 2019 to AED 71.44 billion from AED 71.4 billion, data by the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) showed.

The emirate’s re-exports rose by 19% to AED 17.2 billion during the four-month period ended April as compared to the year-ago period, state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported, citing the SCAD.

Meanwhile, non-oil exports valued at AED 19.8 billion, up 2.4% from AED 19.33 billion in the first four months of 2018, the SCAD revealed.

Imports stood at AED 34.385 billion in the January-April period of 2019, declining by 8.5% from AED 37.574 billion in the same period last year.

However, Abu Dhabi’s total international trade has seen a growth of 3.1% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019.
