Oil prices fell on Monday, and Brent crude for the nearest month of 44 cents fell 0.6 percent from the last close to 72.39 dollars a barrel at 0142 GMT, while futures prices for West Texas Intermediate crude fell 53 cents or 0.8 percent to $ 62.61 a barrel.
