The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohamed Barkindo, stressed that the region needs more peace and stability as the most important strategic region in the world to ensure the flow of oil supplies. “Any tension that affects the world affects its impact,” he said.

This came in a press statement in Abu Dhabi yesterday during the official launch of the project to establish the first refinery in the Middle East and North Africa, specialized in the production of ship fuel capacity of 250 thousand barrels per day in the Emirate of Fujairah, UAE.

Barkindo said it was too early to talk about a decision by the Organization to continue to reduce the production of oil-producing countries and their allies or not.

Noting that “OPEC” still need more accurate data on the market and that the final decision on whether to continue to reduce or not to be determined next month of June 2019
