Positive progress in China-US trade talks

China and the United States have made “positive” and “concrete” progress in implementing the consensus they reached in Washington at the end of last month, the Chinese government said yesterday.
For its part, China expressed its willingness to increase imports from many countries including the United States to meet the ever-increasing needs of people to create a better life and serve the needs of high-quality economic development, which is part of China’s national reform and opening up strategy and increasing domestic demand.
The round of talks is part of a series of talks that began in Beijing last month and saw a tour of Washington at the end of the month.
