19 countries have received the UAE quality mark for its 314 products since the beginning of this year within the framework of the mark system granted by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology “specifications”.
This step reflects the ability of the production lines of these factories to possess disciplined mechanisms in production, storage and transport to reach the consumer in one of the most important national conformity testing programs to ensure consumer confidence and increase safety and safety indicators in the community.
“This achievement is an Emirati government approach within the objectives of the 2021 National Agenda, which is in line with the UAE’s approach to the first place, to make our country one of the best countries in the world in entrepreneurship,” said Abdullah Al Meini, General Manager, Specification.
He added that he was pleased with the steady increase in the demand of factories and production lines to obtain the UAE quality mark. He pointed out that last year there was a remarkable increase in the factories which got the mark reached about 26% from 844 factories at the end of 2017 to 1060 factories by the end of 2018, National factories, and 113 international factories, according to the TRA.
The institutions that receive the UAE quality mark are subject to a plan of supervision and control and the withdrawal of samples of the raw materials involved in the production of the product to ensure that the materials conform to the approved standards in the UAE. The increase in the number of factories with the mark also reflects a similar increase in the number of products corresponding to national markets Improving the quality concepts of consumers
