Rashid Al Nuaimi and Irish Minister of Trade and Employment discuss strengthening academic cooperation

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and Pat Bren, Irish Minister of State for Trade, Employment and Business, and the EU Digital and Data Protection Market of the Irish Government, discussed ways of joint cooperation between the Emirate of Ajman and the Republic of Ireland in the areas of health, innovation, technology and business, The two sides seek to increase cooperation in the development of academic programs in the fields of health, science and technology, artificial intelligence and robots.
The meeting, which was held at Ajman University College, was attended by Omran Khan, President of the College, and Ayman Sykafi, Business and Business Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa region at the Enterprise Ireland Agency.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the importance of the education sector goes beyond the economic impact and contributes to the diversification of the economy. It is one of the cornerstones of the vision of Ajman 2021 and contributes to the enhancement of the UAE soft power strategy and the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, “He said.
Relations between the UAE and the Republic of Ireland are growing. Non-oil foreign trade, including free trade in 2017, reached about $ 760 million, up from $ 745 million in 2016.
