HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, met with His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Shinn, President of Zanzibar Region in Tanzania. During his visit, Zanzibar was invited by His Excellency the President of the Region to attend the signing ceremony of a joint cooperation agreement And the Government of Zanzibar to become Zanzibar’s first partner in the oil and gas exploration and production project.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and HE Ali Mohammed Shaan attended the signing ceremony to extend their support to the historic agreement between Ras Al Khaimah Gas Authority, represented by its international company Ras Al Khaimah Gas Zanzibar and Zanzibar Petroleum Development Company, For oil and gas, which was approved in 2016.
The Ras Al Khaimah Gas Authority is a governmental body of the Emirate concerned with the exploration and production of oil and gas. It was established by Emiri Decree No. 14/84 issued by the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
