Sudan’s oil minister said on Monday that Saudi Arabia would supply Sudan with millions of tons of oil over the next five years to help it overcome the energy crisis.
“We have returned from Saudi Arabia after negotiating with the Saudi side to supply Sudan with oil for five years,” Abdul Rahman Osman was quoted as saying by reporters at the presidential palace after a meeting with President Omar al-Bashir.
He added that Sudan “will receive 1.8 million tons of oil in the first year, with the amount increase by 7% after a year.”
Abdulrahman pointed out that the facilities to finance the agreement will be presented by the Saudi Development Bank
