Saudi Housing” issues 3863 Exemption Certificates from the “Value Added Tax” of the first residence

The Ministry of Housing has revealed that the total number of certificates of exemption from payment of value added tax for the first housing issued so far is 3863 certificates, while the number of applications received by the ministry about 5620 applications, and 612 applications were rejected for non-compliance with the conditions, during the past 30 days. The ministry said in a press statement today that all the requests received by the ministry are being studied and verified that they comply with the conditions stipulated in the Royal Order. The state should pay the value added tax of the first housing not exceeding 850,000 riyals. The Ministry of Housing and the General Authority for Zakat and Income announced last month on the mechanism of implementation of the royal order “to bear the value added tax, by registering on the website dedicated to this through vat.housing.sa and then issuing an electronic certificate by visiting the portal . The ministry urged citizens who meet the requirements to register their applications electronically and issue an electronic certificate proving their eligibility to pay the country the value added tax for the first dwelling, not exceeding the ceiling of prices according to the Royal Order, where the housing is handling the data and ensure compliance with the conditions, The value of VAT will be paid to the supplier directly through the Ministry after verifying the validity of the sale and purchase process and receiving all the documents required to be paid by the property supplier
