The second edition of “Abu Dhabi Week in India” begins in Mumbai

The second edition of the Abu Dhabi Week, launched by the Department of Economic Development (Abu Dhabi), was launched on Monday in the Indian capital of New Delhi and ends tomorrow in Mumbai.
Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) has asked for interest to implement the world’s largest desalination project at an estimated cost of AED 4.4 billion (US $ 1.2 billion), starting production in 2021 and 2022 through reverse osmosis technology.
Eng. Abdullah Mohammed Al Khumairi, Acting Director of Development and Planning Department, said that the project includes the development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance and ownership of a seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis technology with a capacity of 200 million gallons per day of production capacity. In addition to the related infrastructure, at Taweelah Water and Electricity Complex in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, about 45 km north of Abu Dhabi. The commercial operations of the project are expected to begin in October 2021.
