Dubai Smart has organized a workshop entitled “Public-Private Partnership for a Data-Driven Economy” which is part of Dubai Smart’s efforts to implement a strategy and policy package to engage the private sector in the Dubai Data Initiative. The workshop aimed to stimulate the private sector in Dubai to participate in the data economy in a manner that ensures mutual benefit and improves the services and experiences of the Smart City as part of the Dubai Data Initiative which will cover all sectors. The workshop discussed the formation of the Dubai Data Strategy as well as the definition of private sector representatives in the Emirate of Dubai with the challenges and opportunities presented by private sector data and the role played by this sector in the Dubai Data Initiative and highlighted the mechanisms of using data dissemination platforms, emerging technologies, foundations and systems for marketing and selling data. “As the cornerstone of smart city building and development and the implementation of the Dubai Data Law, which resulted in the development of data policies launched by Dubai Smart early this year to enhance the capabilities and capabilities of data transfer and exchange,” said Younis Al Nasser, The workshop for the private sector in Dubai highlights the importance of joint cooperation between this sector and the government sector to make the most of the data that is the real future wealth of Dubai. He added that creating an integrated and comprehensive data environment that ensures the organization of data dissemination and exchange operations as a key element in the digital wealth of the Emirate and maximizing the real and positive economic impact of these data requires the concerted efforts of the public and private sectors to feed and use the data and to raise awareness among all parties of the importance of data to advance the initiatives. And projects within the same framework to make Dubai the happiest and smartest city in the world.
