Smart Dubai Wins ‘Interactive Innovation’ Award at South Bay South West 2019

Dubai Smart has been awarded the “Innovation Interactive” award by KPMG, an international auditing, taxation and consulting firm at the South Bay South West SxW 2019, which concluded the Smart Dubai participation in its 22nd edition in Texas In the United States from 8 to 17 March.
The award, which honors Dubai Technology Enterprises’ pioneering projects, is a tribute to Dubai Smart for Dubai Paperless Strategy, where a large number of innovators from around the world competed to win the award by presenting their new and innovative projects.
Through its pavilion at the exhibition, Dubai Smart reviewed the developments and achievements of the Dubai Paperless Transaction Strategy which was launched in February 2018 with the aim of transforming the Government of Dubai into a fully digitized and transferring all external and internal transactions applied by governmental bodies and institutions to digital platforms by 2021.
Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr stressed that Dubai has made tremendous progress in its transformation into a fully intelligent city in the future. This progress has been increasingly reflected in the process of dispensing paper transactions driven by the ambitious Dubai Paper Transactions strategy, which aims to transfer all paper transactions applied in government entities in Dubai To digital platforms by 2021 .. He pointed out that Dubai Smart recently launched the first two full digit experience in the strategy to the customers through the application of “Dubai Now” integrated platform for smart services in the Emirate of Dubai .. During the participation, Dr. Ali Al Azzawi, Advisor to the City’s Experiences in Smart Dubai, presented a panel discussion titled “Unleashing the City’s Collective Forces” alongside Nicole Flatto, Citibank Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Junior, Executive Vice President of World Cities at MasterCard and Professor Maya Wiley, The meeting focused on exploring cities around the world for ways to provide the best services to their citizens and the comprehensive access to education and work to support the growth of the local economy and achieve prosperity in societies.
Al-Azzawi also participated in interactive sessions, during which he presented inspirational stories on artificial intelligence, work environments, advanced technology and other topics, describing steps and methodologies for building smart and socially happy cities.
“This award is an achievement for the UAE and my country,” said Wissam Lootah, Executive Director of Dubai Smart Government Foundation. “What distinguishes Dubai’s paperless strategy is that it is designed based on the nature, complementarity and comprehensiveness of people in Dubai, But the services have been transformed into integrated flights that enable customers to have a happy experience service.
