Southern Philippines and Abu Dhabi Chamber discuss trade cooperation

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) discussed with the South Philippine Development Authority the areas of enhancing trade cooperation between the business sectors in the emirate and its counterpart in the friendly Republic of the Philippines.
The meeting was attended by HE Mr. Abdul Ghani Salabudin, Executive Director of the South Philippine Development Authority, in the presence of HE Abdullah Ghareer Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber, and HE Jaclyn Quintana, Ambassador of the Philippines to the UAE.
The meeting reviewed the most important opportunities and climates available to achieve mutual cooperation and integrated coordination, which aims to organize visits and business delegations and identify the promising areas that attract private sector activities and enhance investment opportunities in light of the advantages of trade openness and the flexibility of economic policies enjoyed by the business environment of both sides, Which will contribute to the development of business and access to high levels.
Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi stressed the importance of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to expand the base of trade cooperation with the southern Philippines and to identify ways to enhance and develop them and to identify legislative frameworks for investment in all economic fields, especially in the vital sectors of agriculture and food, Philippines, noting the need to focus on the food sector as a source of food security and sustainability worldwide, describing the economic progress of the Republic of the Philippines as encouraging to promote joint action.
Al Muhairi called on the delegation to take advantage of Abu Dhabi’s economic and business-attracting environment, which has become the focus of investors and foreign investments for ease of doing business, enjoying an adequate investment climate of secure and sustainable infrastructure, facilitating procedures and providing incentives to both domestic and foreign investors. The UAE is the ideal model for political and security stability, which is evidenced by its polarization of more than 200 nationalities living on its soil with respect, tolerance, moderation and security.
Al Muhairi also invited the private sector in the Philippines to take part in the exhibition of the Franchise, organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber in October 2019, which will provide opportunities for exchange of investments and international brands.
